FPWC Ecotourism Project Presented at “In Tour Expo -2015”

From April 10 to 12, the Foundation for the Preservation of Wildlife & Cultural Assets participated at the In Tour Expo-2015 international tourism expo in Yerevan. More than 70 specialized enterprises and tourism agencies participated at the exhibition from Armenia and abroad.   FPWC presented the organization’s SunChild Eco Tours project. In addition to existing tours in the Caucasus Wildlife Refuge (Urtsadzor, Ararat region) SET presented new tourism packages including biking and segway tours throughout Armenia.

FPWC initiated the tourism project to offer new income opportunities for villagers living in communities where FPWC projects are implemented.  The participation in the Expo was supported by the European Outdoor Conservation Association. This project is closely connected with community development in Urtsadzor, a village located near FPWC's Caucasus Wildlife Refuge. Through the project FPWC aims to offer young villagers new employment opportunities.

On April 12  all tourism companies and organizations received certificates of participation.
